Ohio State just added one of the top quarterback prospects in the country to its 2027 recruiting class.

While he’s still 2 years away from being able to officially sign with the program, Brady Edmunds has committed to Ohio State.

Despite still having 2 seasons of high school football left to play, Edmunds is rated as one of the top high school prospects in the country. He’s the No. 10 overall player and the No. 2 quarterback in the country for his class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 player from the state of California.

Edmunds attends Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 215 pounds. His offer list is impressive even beyond the Buckeyes and includes programs such as USC, Penn State, Michigan, Texas, Oregon and plenty more top programs.

Edmunds is the second prospect to join Ohio State’s 2027 recruiting class so far. The Buckeyes also have a commitment from 5-star athlete Jamier Brown. It’s still extremely early in the cycle, but Ohio State has the nation’s No. 1-ranked class in 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
