His listed measurements are 6-2, 284 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Carter is rated 4-stars, the No. 42 defensive lineman, No. 55 player in the state of Florida and No. 394 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class. At a Rivals camp in June, he won the bench press challenge with 27 reps.

Carter is a sought-after prospect, receiving scholarship offers from 37 programs. Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M are among the programs that showed interest.

In May and June, Carter took official visits to Ohio State, Florida, Miami, UCF and Penn State. He sported the No. 1 jersey for his photoshoot on campus in Columbus.

Carter had hats on the table for all five programs at his commitment ceremony.

With Carter on board, Ryan Day’s staff now has 24 prospects verbally pledged to OSU. The Buckeyes have the No. 1 class in the nation on the Composite. Alabama was No. 1 four days ago, but the Buckeyes are back in front on Thursday evening.
