Ohio State fans who follow recruiting are certainly excited for OSU’s 2025 class, the top-ranked Big Ten class and No. 2 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. Ryan Day’s staff, though, is recruiting beyond the next class.

On Saturday, the Buckeyes got a huge commitment. Brian Hartline has lined up another elite wide receiver to come play in Columbus.

OSU fans will have to wait a few years for this one, though. Jamier Brown, a 5-star prospect in the Class of 2027, announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Saturday during the top-5 clash with Indiana.

Brown took to social media to announce the big news:

Out of Huber Heighs (Ohio) Wyane High School, Brown’s listed measurements are 5-11, 160 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Brown is rated 5-stars, the No. 1 player in the state of Ohio, No. 2 wide receiver and No. 6 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

In the early stages of his recruitment, Brown picked up scholarship offers from 24 programs, including Auburn, Miami, Mizzou, Nebraska, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Brown was considering Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State before committing to Ohio State.
