Ohio State is one of 7 teams listed as a contender for the services of 4-star Class of 2024 cornerback Dakoda Fields. Fields revealed his list late Sunday afternoon.

Fields, who hails from Gardena, California and has an extensive track background, is one of the top cornerbacks in the 2024 cycle. Alongside Ohio State, which was the only B1G program included on his list, Fields listed Oregon, Cal, USC, Washington, Texas and Miami.

No, OSU fans. He is not related to Justin Fields.

Fields talked with 247Sports about a recent official visit to Columbus. Here’s what he had to say about Ohio State:

“I loved my visit to Ohio State. What stood out most for me was the tradition of the program and especially the cornerbacks,” Fields said. “They have two of the highest paid corners in the League (NFL) right now and the most 1st round Draft picks over the last 20 years.”

Fields is considered to be the No. 78 prospect in the country, as well as the No. 10 cornerback and the No. 8 player out of the talent-rich state of California.
