Raekwon McMillan is a stud.

Any player who’s played with or against him could tell you that.

The Buckeyes’ junior linebacker was named a semifinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy earlier today, which is given to the nation’s top defensive player who has the biggest impact on his team both on and off the field.

“IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity,” ohiostatebuckeyes.com described. “In other words, character counts.”

McMillan, who is also a semifinalist for the Butkus Award, has a team-leading 54 tackles. Led by the team’s defensive leader, Ohio State’s defense ranks in the top 10 in pass efficiency defense, red zone defense, scoring defense, passing yards allowed, turnover margin, total defense and interceptions.

Four finalists for the Lott IMPACT Trophy will be announced Nov. 29.
