Ohio State is currently focused on the class of 2024 when it comes to recruiting, but things never sleep when it comes to building future classes. One elite prospect in the class of 2025 is making cuts to his list, and the Buckeyes are still in the mix.

The player is Armondo Blount, a 5-star defensive lineman out of Miami Central High School in Florida. Blount kept Ohio State in the mix, alongside USC, Miami, Florida State and Oklahoma.

Blount is listed at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds and is a 5-star recruit for the 2025 recruiting cycle.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Blount is the No. 5 overall player in the country for the class of 2025. He’s also the No. 2 DL in the cycle.

While Blount has starred on the football field, he has also produced big-time performances in track-and-field throwing events. He has played at the varsity level in Florida since his 8th-grade season.

In terms of Ohio State’s recruiting class, the Buckeyes have one early commitment for 2025. That comes from 4-star QB Tavien St. Clair out of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
