Ohio State is still in the mix to land 4-star athlete Vernell Brown III in the class of 2025.

Brown released his list of top 11 programs on Thursday. The Crimson Tide, Gators and Vols were the only programs from the SEC to make the cut. He’s also still considering Miami, Clemson, Stanford, Louisville, UCF, Syracuse, Florida State and Ohio State.

Brown is already emerging as an elite prospect in the class of 2025 who will no-doubt be a priority for the Buckeyes in this cycle. He’s currently the No. 249 overall player and the No. 11 athlete in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 35 player from the state of Florida.

Brown figures to be a wide receiver or defensive back at the next level. He’s currently listed at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. Brown attends Jones High School in Orlando.

The talented 2025 recruit made an unofficial visit to Columbus last fall. It’s unclear at this point if he intends to make an official visit to Ohio State prior to making his commitment.
