Ohio State named finalist for 4-star LB out of California
Ohio State remains in the mix to land 4-star linebacker Madden Faraimo.
Faraimo announced the Buckeyes as 1 of his 4 finalists on Friday afternoon. He’s also still considering Notre Dame, Oregon and USC.

Faraimo is an elite prospect in the class of 2025. He’s the No. 38 overall player and the No. 4 linebacker in the country for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 player from the state of California.
Faraimo is potentially in range of becoming a 5-star prospect before the end of this recruiting cycle. A top priority for Ohio State, Faraimo initially earned an offer from the Buckeyes back in April of 2023.
The talented linebacker attends JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds.
It’s still early in the cycle, but Ohio State is off to a strong start in 2025. The Buckeyes currently have 8 commits in their 2025 class, which ranks No. 4 nationally according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
