Ohio State named 4 offensive players of the week after the Week 10 win over rival Penn State. For the 9th time in 10 meetings, the Buckeyes were victorious over the Nittany Lions, winning 20-13.

The team always announces the players of the game after each weekend. Offensive linemen Donovan Jackson, Josh Fryar, Seth McLaughlin, and Carson Hinzman were the selections for the honors. The 4 OL all stepped up in a big way, as Jackson and Hinzman embraced new roles.

Jackson, who is usually the left guard, made the move to LT after the Buckeyes lost their top 2 players at the position to injury in recent weeks. Hinzman had been the backup center, but the lineman started at LG for the team in Week 10, taking Jackson’s usual spot.

McLaughlin and Fryar started at their typical spots, center and right tackle, respectively. The Buckeyes’ OL was a huge area of concern entering the game due to the aforementioned injuries. However, the reshuffled line performed well as the Buckeyes racked up just under 200 rushing yards on the day.

It would have been easy to expect the Nittany Lions to dominate against the tattered OL, but that wasn’t the case. The Nittany Lions did get 3 sacks, but the line held up much better than it did in Week 9 against Nebraska.

The Buckeyes added another win and are now 7-1 heading into Week 12. The Purdue Boilermakers are the next test for the Buckeyes as the team eyes a trip to the College Football Playoff.
