The Buckeyes’ first game of the season is coming up quickly and head coach Ryan Day has named his receiver rotation against Minnesota.

It includes the usuals of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson though it also includes four others who are ready to make an immediate impact.

This might be the deepest wide receiver corps in the country as all six have the ability to eventually reach the NFL.

Olave and Wilson both had outstanding seasons in 2020 as they both had over 700 yards receiving with 13 combined touchdowns. They’re both looking towards having their first 1,000-yard season in their collegiate careers.

As for Smith-Njigba, he was only a freshman in 2020 and had just 10 receptions for 49 yards. OSU will be banking on him having quite the season now that he’s a full-time starter.

Fleming is another freshman from 2020 and didn’t get a lot of playing time either as he finished with only 7 receptions for 74 yards. Harrison Jr. and Egbuka are also both looking to have major breakout seasons as well since they were 2 of OSU’s top receiver recruits for 2021.

Kickoff between the Buckeyes and Golden Gophers will be at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.
