The 2019 matchup between Ohio State and Northwestern at Ryan Field will be one of the B1G’s Friday night games, according to a release.
A rematch of the 2018 B1G Championship Game will take place on Friday, Oct. 18 in Evanston. The cross-division clash will be the first time the Buckeyes and Wildcats have met in the regular season since 2016 and the first matchup at Ryan Field since 2013.
The B1G has implemented Friday night scheduling and maintains a limited number of conference matchups to be held on those evenings.
I have the email about Northwestern telling its season-ticket holders that it will play Ohio State next year on a Friday (Oct. 18). The email says that only season-ticket holders can buy tix for the OSU game. That's a good way to minimize Buckeye fans for that game.

In addition to the scheduling announcement, Northwestern also sent out an email to season-ticket holders, saying that only people who have purchased season tickets will be permitted to buy tickets for the Ohio State game.
Basically, that’s a way for Northwestern to try and cut down on the amount of scarlet and gray in the stands at Ryan Field on that Friday night. In big home games in the past, the Wildcats have been outnumbered by visiting fans.
Supporters of Michigan and Nebraska had strong showings in Evanston in 2018.
