Ohio State Athletics is doing something really cool during a trying time.

Beginning Friday, all federal government employees can receive two free tickets to all Ohio State athletic events during the government shutdown. That includes admission to men’s and women’s basketball games.

The school released a statement on Friday morning. The offer begins today, as the Buckeyes men’s basketball team hosts Maryland at Value City Arena.

“The offer may be redeemed only on the day of the event at the Athletic Ticket Office located in the northeast corner of the Schottenstein Center or at the ticket office at the event site, based on availability.”

Other athletic events include: men’s ice hockey, wrestling, women’s gymnastics, and men’s lacrosse.

The federal government has been shut down for nearly a full month now, leaving over 800,000 employees with pay.
