Munford emphasized the importance of getting his degree at Ohio State before leaving for the NFL.

The senior entered the 2020 campaign with 26 career starts and then played in seven of OSU’s eight games this past season. He was named first team All Big Ten by the Associated Press for his efforts this season.

That’s going to significantly help the Buckeyes going into 2021. Returning as much talent and production in the trenches as possible is key to competing for a National Championship, especially since Ohio State will be breaking a new quarterback next season.

Munford is able to return thanks to an NCAA rule that gives every player an extra year of eligibility due to the pandemic. As a result, he’ll be a four-year starter at left tackle for the Buckeyes.
