Heading into Monday night, the Ohio State Buckeyes had four offensive commits in their 2019 class and no defenders.

That changed, though, as Urban Meyer and his staff landed a 4-star defensive end from Mentor, Ohio.

As you can see in the Twitter post below, Noah Potter announced that he’d be heading to Columbus to join the Buckeyes next fall:

According to the 247Sports composite, Potter is the No. 18 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2019 and the No. 8 overall recruit from the state of Ohio.

Keeping him in Ohio is a big victory for the Buckeyes, as Potter was also looking at Penn State, Wisconsin and Florida, among other big-name schools.
