Ohio State posts best offensive performance against Jim Leonhard-led defense in blowout of Wisconsin
No. 3 Ohio State had one of its best offensive performances against a Power 5 team this 2022 college football season in the game against Wisconsin. When the final whistle mercifully blew, Ohio State had piled up 52 points against the Jim Leonhard-led defense of Wisconsin.
Prior to Saturday, Leonhard had never allowed his defense to give up more than 41 points in a regulation game over his six seasons as defensive coordinator at Wisconsin. Last season, Wisconsin lost 41-13 to Notre Dame in Week 4.
This is Jim Leonhard's sixth season at Wisconsin as the Badgers DC. He's never given up more than 41 points in a four-quarter game. The way the Buckeyes are going, they might top 41 in the first half tonight.

In the 2019 season, Wisconsin gave up 38 and 34 points to Ohio State in regular-season and B1G Championship Game matchups. The previous high total allowed by Leonhard’s defense came in 2018 when Purdue scored 44 points in a triple-overtime game.
Ohio State has dominated the defense of Wisconsin through the passing and rushing game. The Buckeyes has accumulated 539 total yards with 252 of them coming from the ground.
Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 17-of-27 for 281 yards, 5 touchdowns and one interception. In Week 4, Ohio State dominated Toledo 77-21 with a huge offensive performance.
