Ohio State previews alternate uniform combo for B1G home-opener against Iowa
Ohio State is breaking out the grays in Week 6.
OSU made the announcement back in July that it would be sporting gray jerseys, gray pants and gray lids for the Oct. 5 B1G clash with Iowa. On Tuesday, the Buckeyes shared some photos to excite fans for the special look.

The Buckeyes have found success in alternate threads over the years, owning a 27-7 record, per Eleven Warriors. The last time OSU went all-gray was on Nov. 11 last season against Michigan State. Ryan Day’s squad won that game 38-3.
The Buckeyes happen to be coming off a game against the Spartans entering Week 6. OSU went on the road and took care of business for a 38-7 win this past Saturday, their first taste of B1G play in 2024.
Ohio State is 3-0 at home so far this season. Day’s squad dominated the nonconference slate of Akron, Western Michigan and Marshall by a total margin of 157-20. Marshall is the only team so far this season to crack double digits against the Buckeyes.
Iowa comes to Columbus with a 3-1 record. The only blemish for Kirk Ferentz’s team is a 20-19 loss to Iowa State in the Cy-Hawk rivalry clash in Week 2. The Hawkeyes have a B1G road win, defeating Minnesota 31-14 in Week 4.
Saturday’s conference clash is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Ohio State is a 20-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. Check out the latest Ohio DraftKings promo code to bet on the game and more!
