When asked about the first College Football Playoff rankings, which come out Tuesday night, Fields had a pretty strong opinion that wherever Ohio State lands won’t matter. He went as far as to say that he doesn’t even care if the Buckeyes are included in the Top 25 of the rankings.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day didn’t go that far, but he said the first College Football Playoff rankings are “for the fans,” and that it wouldn’t matter where the Buckeyes are ranked Tuesday if they don’t continue to win.

Newsflash — Ohio State is going to be in the Top 25 of the first College Football Playoff rankings.
