Ohio State quarterback Devin Brown is expected to miss Ohio State’s spring game with a finger injury, head coach Ryan Day announced Wednesday.
Brown, who is competing with Kyle McCord for QB1 come next fall, received a procedure on his hand Wednesday morning. Day expects it will not be a long-term issue for the Buckeyes and that he will likely only miss a few practices.
Ryan Day on Devin Brown’s finger injury: “He’ll miss a few practices . . . It’s more of a set back than anything else.”

Brown is a former 4-star recruit out of Draper, Utah and, according to Day, is even with McCord in the race for the starting position. As far as Saturday is concerned, Ohio State will now have 2 options at quarterback: McCord and Oregon State transfer Tristan Gebbia.
The spring game is set to kick off at noon EST.
