Ohio State continues to add to the 2021 recruiting class, and it landed a huge verbal commitment over the weekend.

Saturday, the Buckeyes received a verbal pledge from four-star defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr. The heavily recruited lineman announced his decision with a post on Twitter.

“I never thought this day would come but on behalf of me and my family I am committed to The Ohio State University,” Hall wrote. “Go Bucks.”

Hall, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive tackle, is a native of Streetsboro, Ohio. He’s ranked as the No. 9 player out of his home state and is the No. 19 player at his position, according to 247Sports. He’s also listed at No. 232 overall in the 2021 cycle.

Hall has received over a dozen offers during the recruiting process. He picked Ohio State over offers from Maryland, Penn State, Michigan State, Florida State, Minnesota and Florida State, among others.

Ohio State now owns the No. 1 ranked recruiting class of the 2021 cycle. The Buckeyes have 10 commitments, six of which rank in the top 100 and all are inside the top 375.
