Ohio State is reportedly having former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard in for a visit soon, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Howard made plans to transfer after he was at Kansas State from 2020-2023. He has a record of 12-5 as starting QB. Howard has appeared in 34 games over the last 4 seasons, accounting for 5,786 passing yards and 48 touchdowns as a Wildcat. Howard has 1 year of eligibility left.

The Buckeyes are searching for a new QB after Kyle McCord transferred out of Columbus. McCord went to Syracuse to play for newly appointed head coach Fran Brown.

Ohio State isn’t the only school that Howard is interested in, however. Howard has already taken visits to both Miami and USC. There is also still a chance that he’ll just go into the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Buckeyes finished with 11 wins for the 3rd season in a row. A loss to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl is how Ohio State finished the 2023 campaign. Gaining the commitment of an experienced transfer QB would definitely be a plus.
