This is huge news for the Buckeyes after Hickman had a breakout season as a sophomore.
During the regular season, Hickman had 95 total tackles (53 solo) along with 1 sack, a forced fumble, and 2 interceptions.
Hickman also had 4 games where he recorded 10 or more total tackles, the last of which came against Michigan. Despite the loss, he still finished with 12 total tackles (4 solo).
Before committing to Ohio State, Hickman was a 4-star prospect and the No. 3 player in New Jersey per 247Sports Composite. He was also the No. 10 safety recruit nationally and the No. 115 recruit overall.
Having Hickman back for next season means that part of the Buckeyes’ secondary will be locked in.
