Ohio State schedules future home-and-home series with SEC powerhouse
Two of college football’s biggest powers are will be going head to head on the gridiron. It’s just going to be a few years before it happens.
On Thursday, several media outlets reported that Ohio State has scheduled a home-and-home with SEC East juggernaut Georgia. The two games will be played in over a decade, with the series starting in 2030.

According to ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren, Ohio State and Georgia will meet in Athens in 2030 and the Bulldogs will travel to Columbus to take on the Buckeyes the following year in 2031.
Georgia and Ohio State have agreed to a home-and-home series for the 2030 and 2031 seasons. Ohio State will travel to Georgia in 2030 and Georgia to Ohio State in 2031.

The dates for the two games are scheduled as:
- Sept. 14, 2030 — Athens, GA
- Aug. 30, 2031 — Columbus, OH
Ohio State deputy director of athletics Diana Sabu told the Columbus Dispatch, “Our fans have asked for SEC opponents, and we want to create these impactful contests.”
Georgia and Ohio State have played just one time, a 1993 matchup in the Florida Citrus Bowl. The Bulldogs defeated the Buckeyes 21-14 in the lone contest.
