More scheduling news came from Columbus this week.

On Tuesday, Ohio State announced that it has added Ball State to the 2026 home schedule. The news came shortly after it was revealed that the Buckeyes added UConn to the home slate for the 2025 campaign.

Ohio State has never played UConn or Ball State on the gridiron.

The addition of Ball State to the 2026 schedule rounds out Ohio State’s non-conference schedule for that season. The Buckeyes will also have a road game against Texas and a home game against Boston College.

Non-conference schedules for Ohio State have been set through the 2026 season, with the exception of the 2024 campaign. Currently, Ohio State’s only scheduled contest is a road trip to Washington.
