After 2 seasons at Ohio State, JK Johnson will reportedly look at continuing his college football career elsewhere.

Johnson has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to Patrick Murphy of 247Sports.

Out of DeSmet in St. Louis, Johnson was a highly-touted recruit in the class of 2021. Johnson was rated the No. 1 Missouri product, No. 3 cornerback and No. 50 prosect overall for the 2021 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with Ohio State over offers from 24 other schools.

In 2021, Johnson recorded 2 tackles in 2 appearances for the Buckeyes, allowing him to take a redshirt for the season. This season, Johnson appeared in all 13 games. He logged 20 tackles in his second season, including 5 stops in the win over Northwestern. Johnson did not record any defensive statistics in the Peach Bowl game against Georgia.
