Ohio State has officially scheduled a make-up date with Buffalo. The two teams were set to meet during the 2020 season, but that contest was called off because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Buckeyes will welcome the Bulls to Ohio Stadium on Sept. 2, 2028 for the season opener. It will be the second-ever meeting between the two programs, with Ohio State winning the first in 2013.
For making the trip to Columbus, Buffalo will receive a $1.9 million paycheck, according to Eleven Warriors.
With Buffalo added to the schedule, the first two weeks of Ohio State’s 2028 season are now set. After the opener against the Bulls, Ryan Day’s squad will make the trip to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama in a massive B1G-SEC showdown.
Ohio State and Alabama are set to play on Sept. 9, 2028 in the second game of a home-and-home series. The two teams will meet in Columbus on Sept. 18, 2027.
