Ohio State settles on new turf design for football stadium

Ohio State revealed that it would have a new fan-inspired turf design at The Horseshoe and now it has settled on a decision.

Monday afternoon, Ohio State tweeted out an image of the new turf design it will unveil. It’s a fairly classic look that will feature a few different tweaks from the previous design.

Below is the design Ohio State has settled on. In a tweet sent out for fans to see, there were 48 different design options included:

Ohio State has never needed to overly creative or cutting edge with its field design. As it owns one of the most historic venues in college football — and one of the best teams in the country — there’s very little incentive to steer away from a clean, traditional look.

While there will be some changes, the Buckeyes are sticking to a pretty standard theme with their new turf design.
