The Ohio State University shared an update Friday afternoon involving the investigation into Urban Meyer.

The independent working group announced that the investigation will be completed on Sunday, as previously planned. Investigators will then prepare a report for the working group. The group will then share it with the Board of Trustees and an executive session will be held next week. Following deliberations, President Michael V. Drake will announce the final decision.

Per the statement, it’s clear that the decision will be in Drake’s hands.

Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave in early August, and the university announced that an investigation would take place into what Meyer knew and what he did about it regarding the 2015 domestic abuse allegations into former assistant Zach Smith.

It appears the investigation will be complete within the original two-week timeframe.
