Former Super Bowl Champion QB Trent Dilfer is starting to fill up his staff at UAB. Dilfer is reportedly bringing on Ohio State Defensive Quality Control Coach Miguel Patrick for the DL coaching position, according to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman.

Like Dilfer, Patrick has experience coaching at the high school level. Patrick coached in Georgia and won three state titles as HC and DC. This past season was Patrick’s first year on the job in Columbus.

Dilfer was announced as UAB’s HC on Nov. 29. Dilfer left Lipscomb Academy, a private high school in Nashville, Tennessee, where he won two state titles from 2021-2022. Many NFL fans will remember Dilfer from his time on the Baltimore Ravens, where he played on their Super Bowl team in 2000.

If Patrick’s success from high school can transfer over to the college level this could be a great hire for the Blazers. Stay tuned for more updates.
