Ohio State is rolling Maryland in Columbus on Saturday, but it might not all be good news for the Buckeyes.

Star defensive lineman Haskell Garrett left the game in the third quarter with an apparent leg injury. He wasn’t able put any weight on his right leg.

According to reports in Columbus, Garrett spent several minutes in the injury tent before returning to the bench. He’s not expected back into the game — and likely wouldn’t have played in the fourth quarter of OSU’s blowout victory anyways.

If Garrett does miss any period of time, it would be a significant loss for the Buckeyes. He has a career-high 3 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss already this season.

Ohio State will soon enter a more difficult portion of its schedule. The Buckeyes face Indiana on Oct. 23, but then will likely have a top-10 matchup vs. Penn State to close out October. Then, Ohio State will have to face Nebraska, Michigan State and Michigan in November — with the season finale being in Ann Arbor.

Ohio State is idle in Week 7.
