Garrett Wilson to the rescue.
Ohio State took an early 7-3 lead over Maryland on Saturday afternoon thanks to a clutch grab by Wilson in the endzone.
Facing fourth down, quarterback C.J. Stroud lofted a ball in Wilson’s direction and asked him to make a play in single coverage. That’s exactly what Wilson did, giving the Buckeyes the lead in the process.

That is Wilson’s fifth touchdown catch of the year, which is one off of a career high. He had six TD grabs last season in only 8 games.
Wilson has established himself as one of the best skill players in the entire Big Ten. He’s averaging 17.8 yards per reception this season, which is a career best. He now has 16 touchdown grabs in his career.
Ohio State is looking to improve to 5-1 on the season and 7-0 all-time against Maryland. If the Buckeyes win out, they’ll likely still be in position to make a run at the College Football Playoff despite falling to Oregon in Week 2.
