It’s been a solid start to the season for Tate, who entered this game with 15 catches for 232 yards and 1 touchdown on the season. He’s been Ohio State’s third most-used receiver so far in 2024 behind Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka.
With that catch, Tate also went over his previous career-best for receiving yards in a season. Last year as a true freshman he contributed 18 catches for 264 yards.
For Will Howard, this was already his 15th touchdown pass in 2024. His previous career high for TD passes in a season came last year at Kansas State when he threw for 24 touchdowns while playing for the Wildcats.
Ohio State is looking for its eighth consecutive win in this series.
