Ruckert completed the 2020 season with 13 catches for 151 yards, but over 0ne-third of his receptions went for touchdowns. He totaled 5 scores over the last season with the Buckeyes.

Below is Ruckert’s announcement:

Ruckert just completed his junior season in Columbus and could have declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. Instead, he’s returning to Ohio State in an attempt to win a national title and improve his stock moving forward.

Over three years, Ruckert has proven to be a good pass catcher and blocker at the tight end position. He’s hauled in 28 passes for 306 yards and 9 touchdowns in three seasons with the Buckeyes.

For a team that will lose a plethora of talent to the NFL Draft, Ruckert’s return to Ohio State is great news for the offense. He’ll be one of the best tight ends in the B1G again in 2021.
