Another Ohio State star is heading to the NFL.
On Thursday, star tight end Jeremy Ruckert announced on Twitter that he will be declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft. Below is the post Ruckert shared after making the final decision.
Ruckert’s announcement comes just a few days after Ohio State capped off an 11-2 season with a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Utah in the Rose Bowl Game.

Ruckert finished fifth on the team in receiving yards this season, totaling 309 yards and 3 touchdowns on 26 receptions while appearing in all 13 games for the Buckeyes.
The 2021 season was the best of Ruckert’s career on the pass-catching front. In his previous 3 years in Columbus, the tight end totaled 306 yards and 9 touchdowns on 28 catches.
Ruckert will leave the Buckeyes with 54 catches, 615 yards and 12 touchdowns. Even on a team loaded with weapons at the receiver position, the tight end proved to be a legitimate option in the passing attack over the course of his 4-year career at Ohio State.
Entering the 2022 NFL Draft, Ruckert will likely be one of the top tight end prospects available.
