Ohio State began the season 1-0 with a win over Indiana, dispatching the Hoosiers by a final score of 23-3. On Sunday, the Buckeyes unveiled their nominations for Players of the Game.

On the offensive side of the ball, Cade Stover received the honors with a career-high 98 receiving yards on 5 catches. Stover’s previous high was 83 yards last season against Toledo. With the offense struggling early on, it was some over-the-middle passing to Stover that helped Kyle McCord find a second-half groove.

Defensively, JT Tuimoloau earned honors with 4 tackles (3 solo) and 4 quarterback hurries. He did not register a sack, though Indiana’s game plan did not involve any deep dropbacks or serious passing attempts.

On special teams, former Notre Dame WR turned defensive back Lorenzo Styles earned the honor. Styles was involved in kick coverage for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State moves into Week 2 and a matchup against Youngstown State. Kickoff for that game is set for Saturday at 12 pm ET on BTN.
