Ohio State vs. Notre Dame set to draw scouts from half of NFL teams, per reports
Ohio State vs. Notre Dame is one of the major matchups in a key weekend of college football. It’s not just an early-season game with College Football Playoff implications, it’s also a game with a host of NFL-caliber talent on display.
According to Jack Soble with BlueandGold.com, a total of 19 NFL scouts will be in attendance Saturday night with representatives from 16 teams on hand. For context, that’s half of the NFL with 32 teams in the league.
The Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers are expected to have multiple representatives in attendance.
Scouts from the Ravens, Panthers, Browns, Cowboys, Lions (x2), Texans (x2), Colts, Chargers (x2), Rams, Dolphins, Saints, Eagles, 49ers, Seahawks, Buccaneers and Titans are in attendance for Notre Dame vs. Ohio State.

That talent is not limited to one side of the matchup with both teams led by impact performers on either side of the ball. For Notre Dame, star left tackle Joe Alt and quarterback Sam Hartman are some of the names to keep an eye on for the 2024 NFL Draft. Defensive backs Xavier Watts and Cam Hart are other names to watch particularly going against Ohio State this week.
When it comes to Ohio State, the offense is led by a pair of dynamic receivers in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka. Harrison is widely regarded as a near lock to be a top-5 pick in the draft while Egbuka could also be a first-round pick.
Running back TreVeyon Henderson, linebacker Tommy Eichenberg and defensive end JT Tuimoloau are some of the other Buckeyes that could be available in the 2024 NFL Draft.
