Most people love Ohio State’s traditional uniforms. But for those who love when the Buckeyes throw on some alternate threads, you’ll want to tune in for OSU’s Homecoming game.
On Saturday, Tony Gerdeman The Ozone reported that Ohio State will wear its all-black uniforms for the Homecoming game against Michigan State on Oct. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on either ABC or ESPN.

The Buckeyes last wore the all-black uniforms last season in a 36-31 victory over Nebraska.
It was also reported that Ohio State will host a “Scarlet Out” game on Sept. 7, when the Buckeyes welcomed Cincinnati into The Horseshoe. The Bearcats are led by Luke Fickell, who will be making his first return to Columbus since leaving the program to become a head coach.
Ohio State is on a three-game winning streak against Michigan State, having beaten the Spartans in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The Buckeyes have played their Bearcats just 16 times, winning 14 matchups. Cincinnati’s only two wins came before the 1900s.
