Ohio State WR elects to rejoin Buckeyes, exit transfer portal
Ohio State WR Bryson Rodgers had a change of plans. After entering the NCAA transfer portal, Rodgers has decided to withdraw and rejoin the Buckeyes.
Rodgers shared the news Saturday morning in a social media post.
good morning everyone. I appreciate all the coaches that blessed me with an opportunity to come to their program. This has been no where easy for me. Buckeye nation, with deep reconsideration and thought, I will be returning to The Ohio State University. RELOAD THAT MF CLIP.🥷🏾 pic.twitter.com/85NjAMCZ6Z

Rodgers made the announcement after taking a transfer visit to Florida on Friday, checking out Billy Napier’s UF program. It would have been a move closer to home for the former Wiregrass Ranch standout from Zephyrhills, Florida. The Gators were also involved in his recruitment out of high school.
As a Class of 2023 prospect, Rodgers was rated 4-stars, the No. 49 wide receiver, No. 66 player in the state of Florida and No. 357 recruit overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with OSU over 42 other scholarship offers.
Rodgers did not see any game action for the Buckeyes in 2023. He clearly expects that to change in the future as he returns to Columbus a redshirt freshman with four seasons of eligibility.
