Ohio State’s loaded receiver room has taken a bit of a hit.
Multiple outlets are reporting that wide receiver Jameson Williams has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. According to Eleven Warriors, Ohio State confirmed the news on Wednesday afternoon.
Williams is a former 4-star prospect and was a Top 100 talent in the 2019 recruiting class, ranking No. 82 overall. He spent two years with the Buckeyes before deciding to hit the portal and look for options outside of Columbus.

In two years with the Buckeyes, Williams had 15 receptions for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is the second Ohio State receiver to enter the portal during the offseason, joining another 4-star prospect Mookie Cooper.
With the NCAA’s blanket waiver for all fall student-athletes, Williams will have three years of eligibility at his next destination. He could also decide to return Ohio State if it’s in his best interest.
Ohio State’s receiver room is still incredibly talented. The combination of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson will be the best duo in college football. Julian Fleming, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka should all make a significant impact on the field, as well.
