Babb is extremely grateful to have made the journey to captain and he wants his story to serve as a testament to his teammates about the importance of resiliency.
Kamryn Babb has now suffered four torn ACLs dating back to his senior year of high school – left ACL twice, right ACL twice – but he isn’t giving up.
“Nobody’s really been able to see what I know I can do … I do feel like I can still play at a very high level.“

Ryan Day said Kamryn Babb remains unavailable after suffering a fourth ACL injury this offseason, but was named a captain because of the resilience he’s shown and the impact he’s made on Ohio State off the field.

Babb’s story is certainly one of the most awesome in all of college football this season.
Ohio State will have six captains for this season: offensive lineman Thayer Munford, senior defensive tackle Haskell Garrett, junior receiver Babb, senior linebacker Teradja Mitchell, senior receiver Chris Olave and junior defensive end Zach Harrison.
Ohio State kicks off the season with a primetime matchup at Minnesota on Sept. 2 (8 p.m. EST/FOX).
