Ohio State's defensive pressure forces Sean Clifford into costly 4th-quarter interception
Penn State is not going away against Ohio State, but Sean Clifford threw a costly interception in the fourth quarter.
Facing a 2nd-and-9, Clifford dropped back for a pass but was immediately under pressure from the Buckeye front. Instead of taking the sack, he tried to get a heave off downfield.
That throw was severely underthrown with Ohio State’s Cameron Brown breaking back to the ball. It was a clean interception for Brown with a big return flipping the field into Penn State territory:
Pressure = good things for this Buckeye defense. We need to see more of it.

The Buckeyes were unable to punch in a touchdown, but they did convert on a chip-shot field goal. Ohio State is now clinging to a 30-24 lead as the game approaches the 7-minute mark in the 4th quarter.
