Ohio State punter Drue Chrisman has been named a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, presented to the best punter in college football.

The list of 10 semifinalists was released on Thursday. Chrisman was the only B1G punter on the list, and one of five Power Five punters.

Chrisman has booted 44 punts for 1,881 yards this season, averaging 42.75 yards per kick.

Chrisman, a Cincinnati native, has been revered as one of the top kickers in the B1G. He’s been excellent at pinning opponents deep in their own territory all year.

Last week in a win over Michigan State, Chrisman had nine punts, pinning the Spartans inside their 20-yard line six times. A number of those punts landed inside the 10-yard line, as well.

Five finalists for the Ray Guy Award will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 20. The winner will be announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN on Thursday, Dec. 6.
