Ohio State will be without a key safety for Saturday’s game against Nebraska.

Eleven Warriors is reporting that starting safety Isaiah Pryor will not play against the Huskers. He’s started in all but one game for the Buckeyes this season. There was no reason immediately available for his absence.

Pryor ranks fourth on the team with 29 tackles this season. He’s also recorded five pass break-ups and an interception through eight games. The safety recorded a career-high six tackles two weeks ago against Purdue.

According to the report, Pryor wasn’t dressed for the game and was seen on the sideline watching the team warm up. There is no clear replacement for the safety.

Urban Meyer has discussed fatigue in Ohio State’s secondary over the last few weeks, particularly after the loss to Purdue. Against the Boilermakers, the Buckeyes missed 20 tackles.

The loss of Pryor certainly doesn’t help the secondary this week.
