When the season ended, Smith-Njigba amassed a team-high 1,606 yards and caught 9 touchdown passes as Ohio State ended the year with an 11-2 record. He hauled in 95 total receptions.
Smith-Njigba capped his masterful season with a brilliant Rose Bowl Game performance. In that season finale, he caught 15 passes for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns, shattering records left and right.
That performance — as well as his season-long contributions — have Smith-Njigba as an outside contender for the 2022 Heisman Trophy.
