Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has caught Pro Football Focus’ attention.

According to PFF, Fields is now the No. 1 graded QB in the country with a 94 overall grade through three games.

That’s an extremely high number, but Fields has been remarkably efficient so far this season. He’s completing just shy of 87 percent of his passes and has the same number of touchdown passes (11) as incompletions.

He currently has a passer efficiency rating of 222.4, which would shatter the single-season record (202) set by Joe Burrow last season.

As a team, Ohio State has been dominant. The Buckeyes have defeated their first three opponents — Nebraska, Penn State and Rutgers — by at least 13 points.

Fields and Ohio State will be back in action in Week 4 against Maryland.
