Ohio State forward Kyle Young left Friday’s B1G Tournament quarterfinal game against Purdue after taking an elbow to the head.
In the second half of the game, Purdue big man Trevion Williams made a move to the basket and was fouled on the play. After releasing the ball on his shot attempt, Williams’ elbow caught Young in the head. He was then taken out of the game and back to the locker room at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Young missed games earlier this season because of a concussion that occurred under similar circumstances. There was not much of an update provided about Young’s status.
The senior forward started the game off hot, scoring 18 points in the first half. He was 4-of-4 from behind the 3-point line and helped the Buckeyes build an 18-point first half lead at 49-31.
At the time of his departure from the game, Young had 18 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist.
