Ohio State got some great news Monday afternoon. Ohio State S Lathan Ransom surgery went smoothly as he gave Buckeye Nation an update after the procedure.

Ransom was injured in the Rose Bowl Game and was carted off the field with a leg injury. His operation came just two days after the Buckeyes defeated Utah 48-45 in the game.

This season for the Buckeyes, Ransom played in all 12 games; he recorded 38 tackles, 21 of which were solo, 5 pass deflections. 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack and a forced fumble.

Although Ohio State did not have the season they wanted with the early loss to Oregon and then a bitter loss to rival Michigan for the first time in 8 years, it was still an 11-win season.

Buckeye fans also got a preview of what the receiving core will look like next season, which may turn out better than the one they had this season, if that is even possible. WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a star in the making, and with QB C.J. Stroud getting another off-season under his belt, look out for the Buckeyes to return to the College Football Playoff in 2022.
