While it’s up to the team to remain focused on one game at a time mentality, it is always fun to look ahead at what might become of this season. Ohio State is currently tied for third on the latest AP Poll and looks to be one of the most impressive teams thus far.

According to Matt Tamanini with Land-Grant Holy Land, SportsBettingAG has released betting lines for potential College Football Playoff matchups. The potential odds were compiled using the top six teams on the AP Poll: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, and Oklahoma.

How do the Buckeyes stack up? They would actually be favored in a number of games. Only Alabama and Clemson would currently be favored against Ohio State in a CFP semifinal.

Here are the potential odds for Ohio State against those teams:

  • Alabama (-6.5) vs Ohio State
  • Clemson (-2.5) vs Ohio State
  • Ohio State (-2) vs Georgia
  • Ohio State (-2) vs Oklahoma
  • Ohio State (-3.5) vs LSU

It’s also worth noting that Ohio State would have the second-best odds at beating Alabama. Only Clemson (+3) would be a thinner underdog against the top-ranked Crimson Tide.
