Ohio State’s hopes at reaching the College Football Playoff for a third time might’ve drowned in the sea of Hawkeye fans that stormed the field at Kinnick Stadium last weekend, but there’s still a lot at stake for the Buckeyes this season.

A division title, a shot at another B1G championship and a New Year’s Six bowl appearance are all on the line this Saturday as the scarlet and gray host Michigan State. The winner of the game controls its destiny and will likely make the trip to Lucas Oil Stadium in December.

Defensive lineman Sam Hubbard knows that.

“We’re focusing on Michigan State because everything we want is still in front of us,” Hubbard said according to 247Sports. “We’re competing for a B1G championship in November and that’s where we want to be. We’ve to do our best to put (the Iowa game) behind us, as tough as it is. That’s football. You’ve got to keep fighting and playing till the end.”

The Buckeyes haven’t lost more than two games in a single season since Urban Meyer arrived in 2012 and have never lost more than one B1G game. Both of those impressive feats are at risk Saturday afternoon.

Michigan State-Ohio State is scheduled to begin at noon ET and will air on FOX. The Buckeyes are currently slated as a 17-point favorite.

The winner takes a one-game lead in the B1G East with just two weeks remaining.
