Ohio State is thrashing Purdue in Week 11, quickly moving on from last week’s emotional win against Penn State. It has been all Buckeyes in this one, including a 17-point push in the third quarter to erase any doubt about the final outcome.

Coming out of half time, Ohio State’s defense has been especially impressive. The Buckeyes registered a pair of takeaways with an interception from Lathan Ransom setting the tone before the big boys up front delivered a game-changing play.

That play involved the defensive end tandem of JT Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer stepping up to produce a defensive touchdown. On a carry by Reggie Love III, Tuimoloau punched the ball out cleanly for a fumble while Sawyer was there to cleanly scoop the ball and roll the distance for the touchdown.

While the play was as brilliant as  you will see from a defensive front, it left FOX broadcaster Gus Johnson unimpressed. But a lot of that probably has to do with the fact the Buckeyes increased their lead to 38-0 nothing.

Either way, Johnson’s deadpan call of the scoop-and-score touchdown is fairly hilarious as the Buckeyes continue to shine in Week 11. Here’s the play with Johnson’s call:

It is the 2nd fumble recovery and first touchdown for Sawyer’s time with the Buckeyes. It is also Tuimoloau’s 2nd career forced fumble.
