Ohio State star cornerback Shaun Wade says he will miss the usually-hostile crowd at Happy Valley this weekend.

Wade told reporters on Wednesday that he wishes Penn State could still have a White Out for this game.

“I love when the fans try to rile us up,” Wade said.

Wade was a freshman the last time the Buckeyes played at State College. He didn’t record any tackles, but he made two pass deflections in a 27-26 victory. Last season vs. the Nittany Lions, Wade made four total tackles and a pass deflection.

Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford will need to keep a close eye on Wade this weekend. He has four interceptions and three forced fumbles in 25 career games. He’s a potential first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Ohio State has not lost to PSU since 2016 in a 24-21 battle that ended with a thrilling comeback for the Nittany Lions. Penn State scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

Ohio State and Penn State will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. ABC will have the broadcast.
